How is this different from ChatGPT (or other general LLMs)?
ChatGPT is a blank slate. Mission Assistant already knows nonprofit workflows with no prompt engineering required. It also learns your org: during onboarding, you answer a few standard questions that are turned into a custom system prompt, so every response is tailored to your organization's context. That's a level of nonprofit- and org-specific personalization a general LLM can't replicate without ongoing manual prompt engineering.
Is my organization's data safe?
Yes. Your data is yours. It is never used to train foundation models, and it stays inside the same secure Velora environment you already use for Aplos, Keela, and Raisely. Mission Assistant is built for organizations that hold sensitive donor, financial, and constituent data, and trust is a first-class pillar of the product, not a footnote.
Does it work without my Velora data connected?
Yes. The workflows are trained on nonprofit context, not your data. Integrated data on the roadmap makes Mission Assistant deeper, not functional.
What's actually on the roadmap?
Early Adopter Users get access to the roadmap and vote on priorities. The headline commitment is more workflows, faster — aggressively expanding the library of nonprofit-specific skills a general LLM can't replicate. Additional near-term items include integrated data (bringing Mission Assistant across your live Velora data) and cross-org collaboration tools. It's not a promise. It's a plan you help shape.
What's the catch with free access?
No catch. Existing Velora customers get Mission Assistant at no cost for a limited time as part of the Velora AI Innovation Program. When the window closes, access transitions to paid Mission Assistant pricing.
What happens when free access ends?
You'll transition to usage-based Mission Assistant pricing, with advance notice, clear details on your assigned usage bucket, and time to decide before anything changes. Your Early Adopter status — roadmap seat, feedback channel, launch recognition — is yours to keep regardless.
Should I wait until the integrated data release?
